On Friday, in the first race, I didn't have a really good start. I was struggling to get clipped in (again) and my cranks were in the wrong position. I didn't transfer in that race, I got fifth. In the second race, I got a medium good start. I cut off the UFO guy on the first berm (sorry!) and I was pedalling my hardest, but still, he passed me. Then I cut him off a bit in the second berm as well, but then he passed me again and he kept his lead and had the advantage position in the third berm. I did my best and came second and was really happy because I transferred.

The main event race - I got clipped in early at the gate and then I stood up and waited for the gate. I got a really good start and was ahead of the UFO guy until the second berm. I saw him come up beside me, and then, boom, we were both on the ground and I was struggling to breathe. I had gone over my bars and landed on my head and my brand new, 3 hours old, Fly helmet was all scratched up, which I was the most upset about!

That was the end of racing for me that weekend. My mom wouldn't let me watch TV or anything. That sucked. I chose not to race on Saturday. My friend Rebecca had a bad concussion (in a crash with me!) earlier in the week and I wanted to be careful.

In both of those crashes, I was still clipped in!
