Race for Life and State Qualifier @ Toads Cove March 7-8 2015
This weekend was tough, JT was sick with a fever of almost 102 on Friday morning.
Saturday "Race 4 Life Double", JT was feeling better so we decides to head to the big race, he did fine in his 2 warm up laps and stayed down until his 1st Moto.
Moto #1, 5 and under Novice JT shot out of the gate and was essentially unchallenged for the win, advancing him directly to the Main event.
R4L Main. JT Got out of the gate just in front of a 3 kid pile up. he went on to secure the #2 spot coming out of the first turn, just in front of another 2 kid pile up. JT went a little too high in the final corner and lost the drag race to the finish line but still took the #3 position in the Main.
Sunday, Wisconsin State Qualifier.
Moto #1 - 6 Under Mixed Open JT gets a shaky start in an 8 rider field, He battles back and takes the 5th position, almost overtaking 4th.
Moto #1 - 5N JT has great start and a hard fight but Wins the first Moto advancing directly to the Semi finals.
Semi Finals - 4 riders Transfer - 5N JT got out of the gate slowly. After avoiding a near wreck he was last going into the first corner but made a great move to take the 3rd spot, in the next corner he once again drifted a little high and dropped to 4th position. a little regrouping and he was in a position to make another move, he tried to pass in the last corner to fight for 2nd place but got tangled up with another rider and crashed, thus eliminating him from the Main, After a few seconds of tears he was a trooper and got back on his bike and finished the race.
Main event - 6 Mixed Open. A slow start after his crash, but he toughed it out and finished 5th against 6 year old intermediates.
