Warnickie Double and Gold Cup Tripple @ Toads Cove, April 11-12 2015
Wow what a great day, Saturday Warnickie Double.
JT wasn't feeling 100% this morning, he hasd a stomach ache, but was determined to run the 6 - Under Mixed Open and the 5 Novice class and boy did he have a turn around.
5N had some good competition today. JT had a slow start but still finished 3rd in the first Heat! That finish advanced him directly to the main event.
The Main event saw some tough competition, JT took a good gate start, he battled and peddled hard and smart in the corners. he was able to capture the #2 spot in the main!!!
6 Mixed Open was a total points race that saw JT racing against Intermediate class racers. He did his Best and finished Strong with a 3rd place finish.
DK Gold Cup
JT was a little off again with an upset tummy but still fought hard, , He just missed the 2nd spot in Heat #1, But came back strong in Heat#2 and lead from start to finish in 5 Novice at his first Gold Cup race that ensured his spot in the Main Event!!!
In the Main Event JT wasn't feeling himself and got an OK gate and got into the first corner ready to exit in 3rd place but traffic wouldn't permit it today and ended up getting run into, thus taking him pit of trophy contention. He did get up quickly and finished the race in 6th place, What an amazing 5 year old!!!
