Thank you to everyone who came out for our work party last week! We were planning to work more this weekend, but with all this rain, we'd do more harm than good. In fact, it's been wet all spring, and we have to accept that the track is not ready to open this week.
 
We're still hoping to open for racing Sunday, June 5, signups 9:30-10:30 AM, but please understand that we have no control over the weather, and may need to postpone depending on track conditions (and our ability to find a dry window to make the final improvements). Keep an eye on our social media to get updates.
 
Once we do open, we'll have digital pre-signing available via https://bigfootbmx.presign.me. We also have a nice set of new helmets (donated by Kim Alexander & Zack Garrett) and new track bikes (thank you, Lincoln Park BMX). And local welder Maiki Gonzalez has donated his time and talent to make our starting gate safer!
 
We continue to work on getting a new location for the track, but as some of you long-time riders probably know, this has been a goal for years and it's slow work. Until then, we'll proudly maintain the site at McCollum Park as best as we can, with the understanding that we are severely limited to what we can improve due to the track's location on top of an unstable former trash dump.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

DIRT

We need 60/40 clay/sand mix -- but we'd take 70/30 if you had it -- especially to coat the starting hill, which gets the most damage from the rain. We called around and can't find anyone who has this available to donate or buy. We'd love to have dirt donated, but we have a small budget to pay if necessary. Please email us if you can help with this need.
