Borderline Nationals were a success!!
On behalf of Martyn, Lee, Lindsay, Bea, Dawn, Andy, Romina, Rhonda, Craig and honourary exec Marcie (your Langley BMX Exec's) we would like to thank our countless volunteers who helped make the Langley BMX Borderline Nationals a HUGE success! Whether you helped get our track ready, donated items to our concession, lugged around 50/50 tickets with a smile on your face, sat in parking, shopped for supplies, got up at 5am to start making pancake breakfast, cleaned our track or volunteered in any possible way, we THANK YOU! A special thank you to the executive spouses and kids who also gave so much all weekend to have our backs, you all kept us together and made our event what is was!
We had many sponsors and donors who helped us too, in no particular order:
Starbucks, Subway (40/208), Homelife Realty, Otter Co-op (BBQ donation), Nature's Fare, Superstore Langley, Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks (Glen), Art Knapp Plant Land and the Township of Langley.
We were thrilled to beat the record for Motos at an outdoor track National in Canada and were proud to upgrade the Strider trophies to the big ones on Saturday! As many of you know, we have had some set backs in the past few years with builds and our gate, but we pulled together to show case our amazing track and community! The feedback we received was very positive!
A few things to note:
The track is closed 9am-12pm this week for camp
There is no practice tonight (Monday)
Regular local racing will happen on Wednesday
Race for Life Donations can be handed in this week
Bring your weekend hardware to the race on Wednesday for a group photo!
Again, on behalf of the Langley BMX Executive we want to thank all families, friends, volunteers and supporters who helped make our weekend one we won't forget! And most importantly, we want to thank all riders for coming out, you put on a great show and without you, we have no event! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
