We have had many questions about practice times during our indoor season. We actually don't have a dedicated day or time for practice so we want to explain why....

We rent the Bastian Center from USU each indoor season. Our rental agreement is costly so we are running rentals for the hours we don't have registration or racing going on. We get access to the track early Friday morning and we start building the track for that weekend. It takes about 10-12 hours to build the track. By the time we finish it's registration time for racing Friday night. Friday registration is typically 6-7 PM but sometimes we run a little late with the track build when things out of our hands go wrong - like a tractor breaks or we don't get enough volunteers to help out. Friday racing usually ends by 9 or 10 PM  and they need to lock up the building so we don't have time for practice after.

Saturday morning we allow track rentals including birthday parties, team rentals and group rentals. These rentals start early Saturday and go until registration time from 3-4 PM on Saturday. FYI, the track rentals were sold out back in November so you have to act fast if you want one of those slots. Saturday racing typically goes until 6 or 7 PM. We do try and run an informal practice after racing when we can. 

On Sunday we have registration from 9-10 AM and then racing is typically done by 12 PM. We then have to pack everything up into our trailers and tear down the track to turn it back over to the Equestrian center by that afternoon. 

So while we would love to have extra time or days for practice it just isn't feasible with the way our rental goes. We will allow people to practice only during registration times BUT you must still check in so we can verify you have a USABMX membership or sign a 1-day waiver if you haven't done one of those previously. This protects us and the track legally and is required. 

Thank you for supporting us during the indoor season. We know it's a little different but we are grateful for the opportunity to offer some racing during the Winter months! We will return to regularly scheduled practices when the outdoor track opens in May.
