USA BMX launches the Stacyc World Championship Series

USA BMX and Stacyc Stability Cycles are excited to announce the creation of a partnership that will give toddlers and children 3 to 7 years of age a new opportunity to try their skills on a USA BMX facility. Much like USA BMX, the Stacyc Stability Cycle brand is focused on sharing the love of riding. The Stacyc Stability Cycle promotes accelerated growth and confidence in a rider.

Being announced to the 2,100 dealers and more than 60,000 Stacyc Cycle owners, is a series that is a grassroots chance for kids, and their parents, to come out with their Stacyc Stability Cycles and experience the thrill firsthand of what a USA BMX track has to offer. It is a family's opportunity to join in the fun and excitement of casual, but competitive, racing on a real BMX track. The event has been designed to be a great safe introduction for young riders to learn, and a chance to enjoy the thrill of competitive racing.

What is STACYC?
 
STACYC is an electric powered push bike that bridges the gap between push bikes and bicycles /motorcycles. They provide a lightweight, non-intimidating riding experience for young children. The stable bike geometry, low seat height and ergonomic features allow for easy push and glide functions, as well as momentum and balance skills to develop sooner using the throttle.

 

 

 

 

 

For 2021, USA BMX will host four qualifiers that will give each rider participating a chance to compete for one of the 12 positions on the start line at the 2021 USA BMX Grands. The winner will be crowned the first Stacyc World Champion. The series is geared towards owners of the cycles and encourages parents to break the normality and ditch the screen; engage the kids with outdoor riding and play.

Each qualifier event will have a maximum of 32 entries per class category. At each of the events, the top three (3) riders in each category will qualify for the World Championship held in November at the 2021 USA BMX Grands. Further series and event info can be viewed at stacycworlds.com.
 
While we are excited for 2021, we can’t wait for 2022 to allow every track in the country the opportunity to host weekly practices and ride days. Growing on the partnership, USA BMX has created an avenue for a track to create an additional revenue stream with the addition of Stacyc Cycles being approved to ride on every sanctioned track. With more than 2,100 dealers around the country and the commitment from Stacyc to engage their dealers with each USA BMX track, the opportunity to host a successful Stacyc practice opportunity is huge!
