Epic Throwback 80s BMX Event to Include In-Person and Online Silent and Live
Auction; Proceeds Provide Education Funds and Mentorship Access for
Underserved Youth; Auction Items from Eli Tomac, Shaun White, Jonas Brothers
Tulsa, Okla. (September 16, 2022) — On Friday, September 23, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the
inaugural USA BMX Foundation gala will be hosted at the Hardesty National BMX Stadium -
home of the USA BMX Foundation Headquarters. The 1980s throwback BMX-themed event
will bring together the action sports community and the city of Tulsa to benefit the USA BMX
Foundation. Funds raised will provide scholarships and educational resources for youth and
teaching professionals in STEM and STEAM. Attendees who purchase an entry ticket for the
gala will also have the opportunity to tour the National BMX Hall of Fame museum and enjoy
epic racing from a three-story starting hill.
The online auction is available HERE starting now and will conclude on Friday, September 23, at noon CT. The in-person gala will begin at 6 p.m. on September 23.
"Bringing together the Tulsa community with the BMX
community to benefit the kids is something USA BMX is very
much about,” said Ray Hoyt, executive director of USA BMX
Foundation. "We are proud to host this inaugural gala where we
know Tulsa and the Oklahoma community will support our
youth, their education, and empower them to get on bikes.”

Items from NFL, Kentucky Derby, BMX, and action sports icons have been donated for the
auction which some include: Off-Road Moto Excursion (Romania), Kentucky Derby
tickets, Stranger Things Season Three Lucas Bike, Autographed BMX Racing Olympic
jerseys, Autographed Eli Tomac Motocross jersey, Camp Woodward BMX weeks,
Autographed Shaun White goggles, Autographed Jonas Brothers Troy Lee helmet, Super
Bowl 50 Football Autographed by half-time performers Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
Tickets start at $350 per person and will give you entry to the red carpet event, where you
will have the opportunity to bid on items from trips, to camps, to BMX gear, autographed memorabilia, and more. In addition, a ticket includes live music, food, drinks, a Hall of Fame
museum, and a track tour. Purchase your tickets here, where proceeds will benefit
educational resources for the USA BMX Foundation.

About USA BMX Foundation: Created in 2005, the foundation has engaged over 225,000 students nation-wide with STE(A)M education, Read to Ride, and Track Modeling Programming. The foundation also supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Race for Life racing series as well as providing scholarship opportunities for higher education through the Bob Warnicke Scholarship.
