From his early days racing for the original GT squad to his years dominating the older Amateur ranks aboard a Skyway T/A or his personal JMC signature bike …all equipped with graphite Tuff Wheels, of course … Andy Patterson was deemed a threat to whomever lined up next to him in the gate.

                 …. then he’d holeshot ‘em all doing a one-footed start!

Nicknamed "Bigfoot" - due to the size 13 Vans on his feet, Patterson was constantly a title-contender, whether on a cruiser or 20-incher, and took his first A-pro win at the Jag World Championships. Not only could he beat you on the race track, but he’d probably out-do ya on one of those early, sketchy wooden quarter pipes, whippin’ out a plethora of aerial antics. 

Later on in the mid-80's, when his sponsor Skyway sent him to Europe, Patterson was one of the first Americans to race the European series - and he became European Champion in 1982. Patterson's style and speed influenced many racers across the globe, and he’s even credited for inventing the layback seatpost for GT. 
                     …and some forty years later, is still awaiting that first royalty check.
