USA BMX announces eight new icons to be inducted into the National BMX Hall of Fame

The annual BMX Hall of Fame, located at the newly opened USA BMX HQ in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is proud to announce the Class of 2023. This year's six inductees are joined by two additional Lifetime Achievement picks, who will be officially inducted over the Hall of Fame weekend of October 6-8. 

The Class of 2023, for each category, are: 
  • Stanley Robinson  /  Early Racer
    Longtime Mongoose factory rider from Fresno, CA., who is credited for inventing the 2-pedal start.

  • Bubba Harris  / Racer
    The only three-consecutive ABA No.1 Pro and 2005 UCI World Champion, racing aboard his own signature series Redline Bike.

  • Renny Roker  / Industry
    Owner/founder of Jag BMX, event promoter of the first-ever Jag World Championships in Indianapolis, IN, and the actor responsible for getting BMX featured in an episode of C*H*i*P*S.  

  • Gale Webb  / Women's
    The original "Rad Mom" of extreme sports - MX racer, skater and promoter/manager of her Kids-R-#1 Freestyle show for over 30 years, who introduced action sports to the masses. 

  • Dave Vanderspek  / Early Freestyler
    San Francisco freestyle legend who founded the Curb Dogs, is credited for uniting both bikers and skateboarders and introducing some of the earliest street-riding tricks to BMX.

  • Ryan Nyquist  / Freestyler
    Considered one of the greatest and most diversely skilled freestylers, Nor.Cal's Ryan Nyquist has 16 X-Games medals, 39 X-Games competition starts and 60 Dew Tour finals appearances and ridden for Haro for over 25 years. He is currently USA Cycling's head coach for Team USA's Olympic BMX freestyle program.

  • Alice Bixler / Lifetime Achievement
    Known as the Godmother of Florida's thriving BMX scene, Sarasota's Bixler has played a vital role in multiple positions of Florida's local and state series since the 70's. 

  • Mike Redman / Lifetime Achievement
    Racer, track operator, owner/manufacturer of Redman Bikes, trainer of the BMX stars, track operator of Coal Canyon BMX and Grand Prix BMX in Perris, CA ... and most famously for being a National announcer for ABA, USA BMX and UCI. 
2023 HALL of FAME CEREMONY
This year's ceremony will again take place at the BMX Hall of Fame in Tulsa, OK - on the first weekend of October. Friday night's reception will kick things off, with an Inductee meet 'n greet, as well as Skyway Recreation's 60th Anniversary party. On Saturday, October 7th, the day begins with the 2nd annual USA BMX Vintage National and old school bike show & swap, followed by the Hall of Fame ceremony held under the covered roof of the Hardesty BMX Stadium. 
Friday's reception and Saturday night's ceremony is a ticketed event.

Sunday, October 8, the fun continues with the Outsider's House/Tulsa Ride-Out - where everyone is invited for a ride around downtown Tulsa and cruise over to The Gathering Place.
