Ok...so I started "BMXing" in 1976 on a Wards monoshock...I was 11. Hit my first BMX track at 13. I was NOT a good racer but really loved the scene at the track, meeting people and looking at all the great bikes and stuff. I was one of the first cruiser riders on the local circuit and went on to do fairly well in cruiser up until about 1984 when I stopped racing. I made my "triumphant" return in my early thirties while owning Chuck's Bicycle Shop and sponsoring very large freestyle contests all over the USA and Canada in conjunction with Hal Brindley's Play Clothes...These contests with ESPN and the Hoffman BS Contests became the Extreme games a very short time after our last stint in Chicago. One realization I made about my racing was that I was no better in my thirties that in my teens!!! Anyway...here I am back again at 51, So if you see me at the track- and I hope you do, don't be a stranger and know that the only person I will really be racing is myself with my biggest goal being fun and exercise. I challenge all other fat old men to also get on a bike and drift around the track with me...if I can do this ANYBODY can!!!!
